Today we visited the Isle of Harris.
The Isle of Harris is one of my favourite islands (apart from Lewis, obviously. Gotta stay true to my roots!). This time we ventured past Tarbert to visit Leverburgh, which is at the bottom of the Island.
Lewis and Harris are connected but they are wildly different. Both beautiful but while Lewis is quite flat, Harris definitely has that rugged terrain. And as much as I love the Isle of Lewis, I can’t deny those Isle of Harris beaches.
The beaches on the Isle of Harris are absolutely stunning and rival any Maldivian/Caribbean beach. White sand and clear blue water. They are incredible. It’s hard to believe they are really in the UK. Personally, I think Luskentyre is the best beach in Scotland.
Although, saying that, we didn’t visit any beaches this time!
I do have another vlog here which shows the infamous Luskentyre beach in all it’s glory though.
We made a visit to St Clements Church in Rodel which I thought was beautiful and definitely worth a visit.
In the evening, back in Lewis, we headed to An Lanntair for some coffee as Peter had a headache. Requiring much need for caffeine. Poor sod.
