During our visit to the Isle of Lewis, we took a day trip down to the Isle of Harris (Na Hearadh to us Gaels).
You may know Harris for its world-renowned tweed but Tarbert is also home to the Harris Gin distillery (which we gladly visited. Always a pleasure, never a chore). It was such a nice place, complete with a gift shop and cafe. So if you ever happen to make your way to the Isle of Harris, this is definitely one to add to the list!
We also took a drive to what is, in our opinions, one of the best beaches in Scotland. A view to admire here on the West Coast of Harris, Luskentyre beach.
Luskentyre is one of those must-visit beaches that everyone should see during their lifetime. Really.
The one you see doing the rounds on Facebook because people can’t believe (or want to brag) that it’s in Scotland.
Golden sands, with crystal clear waters but with the dramatic Scottish landscape in the background. It really is a sight to see when visiting the Outer Hebrides. It’s also pretty quiet. Perfect for those insta shots!
PS: Enjoy the screaming lamb. 2.59. You are welcome.
