Ok, so this outfit came about because I loved this Très Bien jumper! I had also just bought this (totes fashion) star print beret from Accessorize and I really wanted to wear them both.
So I did. I put them together with my dogstooth trousers, military jacket and a red lip and suddenly felt rather French.
It wasn’t intentional but I was into it. I felt like a real sasspot!
There is no doubt that a look like this stands out in North East Scotland as it’s definitely not the norm. I was a little worried that people would think I was dressed so stereotypically French that I was taking the p***
That sounds silly as it’s not a particularly groundbreaking or adventurous outfit but people here tend to dress quite similarly. Safe.
Avoiding judgmental eyes.
I am trying to find my groove when it comes to outfit pictures. How do I want my photos to look and do I want them to be more fluid from post to post?
Having mentioned this before in my Feeling Blogger Pressure post, I sway back and forth between what I want and what notably works for other people.
I live in the Granite City. And for that reason alone, I think I might embrace the grey. I certainly can’t avoid it!
Another thing that bothers me is how serious these outfit posts can be. Not everything is so glossy and perfect. I definitely had hair stuck to my lips, which then smeared across my cheek. A leaf stuck in my shoe for half of the pictures, neither were part of the desired look. We had a typical North East wind. It was baltic.
Oh, and then there were the curious dog walkers.
I want to have a little more fun with them, you should see all the terrible outtakes that never make the blog cut because I fear I won’t be taken seriously! Of what though? So perhaps you will.
Anyway, we are now in the first week of November, I have had my first Christmas coffee and it is time to start thinking of Christmas presents! To buy, not receive, obviously..
Gifts guides are more than welcome. Struggles of coming from a big family!
