La Rose-Posay, Effaclar Duo has been doing the rounds in the blogosphere of late.
I really like Effaclar Duo but I was interested in trying some of the other products from the brand.
Back in January boots had an offer of 2 for £15 on the Effaclar range.
As these normally retail from around £9-13 each, I had to buy some!
Turns out my mum had gone in and spotted it too, so she got me 2 tubes of Effaclar Duo and without knowing it
I went in and got myself a tube of the duo and I also picked up a tube of Effaclar A.I. to go along with it!
Effaclar A.I. is branded as a
Targeted Breakout Corrector.
Purges imperfections in depth
Prevents residual skin marking
Skin type / Problematic
Local breakouts in oily skin with imperfections.Earnings
Deeply purged imperfections disappear. The skin regains a perfectly homogenous surface. How to use
Apply locally until imperfections disappear. Effaclar A.I. can be used before applying make-up.This comes in a reasonably small 15ml tube,
but you use the product so sparingly that a little goes a long way.
It is water based so it isn't heavy, it's very light and smooth to apply.
I would class it as a medium consistency, it isn't so light that its runny and it definitely feels like a lightweight moisturiser rather than a film which you often get with these types of products.
It blends in so nicely and sinks in immediately,
which I love! Nothing worse than feeling like you are going to bed with a greasy face :)
To me, the fragrance is the slightest of slightest sweet smell.
Hardly worth mentioning but I know a lot of people don't like anything too fragrant!
I have been using this for about 2 months now, on routine.. 4/5 night a weeks
on any areas that I feel need that bit of extra care!
This is not a miracle product, I dont wake up in the morning with blemish free skin!
But it does make a big difference to my redness, or marking. It doesn't dry out the area,
which is a look I try to avoid when possible!
I really like this product, as I do have an oily t-zone. If I do get imperfections, they are in these areas and I do get terrible marking (in my opinion). So this was definitely a product worth trying for me,
I am not sure I would recommend this for anyone suffering from acne, as I think it is probably more suited for someone who suffers from the occassional outbreak.
Nevertheless, I do like it, and I would definitely buy it again!
